Mission


  The South Louisiana Institute
for Infectious Disease
Research will build upon
the strengths of infectious
disease research in the
greater New Orleans area to
build a cohesive,nationally prominent, tower of research strength; provide a pathway
for discoveries to be
translated to cures and treatments; enhance extramural funding;
 enhance and expand scientific
Core Facilities; and provide
educational and technical
 training opportunities for the citizens of South Louisiana.

 



      The leadership within the South Louisiana Institute for Infectious Disease Research is very excited about providing resources to strengthen infectious disease research in South Louisiana. Our goal is to create a collaborative and interactive environment in the region and to offer multiple resources investigators can take advantage of to enhance their research productivity and discovery. This together with new initiatives for educational training and pathways to commercialization of new discoveries will take infectious disease research to new heights and new frontiers.
