Internal Grant Review

Grant seekers meetings are open meetings for all SLIIDR and LVC faculty where an individual researcher can present his/her research ideas (often in the form of the Specific Aims of a proposal) to a group of their peers.

In these 1-2 hour meetings, the group will discuss the Aims of the proposal and are encouraged to critically evaluate the proposed research in order to bring better focus to the Aims.  This is also a good opportunity for investigators to present critiques of a prior submission, in order to get additional input as to how best to respond to the reviewers’ comments.

For optimal effect, it is best to host a Grant Seekers at least two months before the grant submission deadline.  These have been done in the Center of Excellence at the Dental School and in the Microbiology department.  All who have hosted has spoken highly of the value the process provided.

If you are interested in having or attending a Grant Seeker Meeting, then please refer to the calendar for information about available times.
